Revington TR ...from Middlezoy, Somerset, has been established for over twenty years. Their name has become synonymous with the Triumph TR sports cars, specifically with the supply of high quality standard and modified parts. Over the years, they have designed and produced a myriad of modifications for TR owners, and are committed to the reintroduction of obsolete and rare parts. The company started, as many businesses do, by growing out of a hobby.
Neil Revington has owned a TR2 - registered as TKR49 - since 1970, when as an apprentice, he bought the car for £50, and promptly spun it on ice, taking out all four corners! The car was rebuilt over the following two years using dexion shelving and Ministry of Defence filing cabinets - techniques which are thankfully now no longer employed! Neil was apprenticed to the Aeronautical Quality Assurance Directorate, a branch of the Ministry of Defence responsible for the quality of design and manufacture of all military aircraft both fixed wing and helicopters. Neil was employed by this branch of the MoD until the TR business was started in 1981, initially being called TR Spares South West.
This background in the aircraft industry laid the groundwork for many of the modifications which Revington TR has developed for the TR range. In addition to the manufacture and supply of parts, Revington TR services include: general repairs, servicing, restoration; accident repair; optical four-wheel alignment of TR4A-IRS to TR6; chassis preparation; engine and transmission building for Road, Fast Road, Rally, Hill climb, Sprint and Race use; and trimming in vinyl and leather.
